MONICA VOHRA
Monica is committed to empowering today's youth by encouraging them to seek a healthy, fulfilling, and enriching life. She has combined her love for the arts and dedication to health to enhance education for youth. Monica graduated from Emory University in 2003 with a B.A. in Psychology. Currently, she is enrolled in a four year medical degree program at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Monica aspires to incorporate the skills and education she receives in medical school with natural healing through dance, yoga, and western exercise. Until now, she has been involved with several community health projects, some of which include, providing healthcare for underprivileged in India, being a mentor for middle school children, and helping to build Unite with In Motion, Inc. She is currently working on a project in Haiti with Project Medishare, a nonprofit organization committed to improving healthcare in Haiti. The goal of this project is to rehabilitate a clinic in the town of Casse, thereby providing hundreds of underpriviliged Haitians access to medical care.
