Unite with In Motion, Inc. ("In Motion") is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide children from underserved communities with an opportunity to be creative, confident and inspired! Our method of accomplishing this goal is to bring performing arts programs to these children at no cost to their families.

Each three month program is limited to 15 students, designed with the intent to provide a dynamic and personal experience to every child. Over the course of the program, children are fully immersed in the arts: they are provided with lessons twice a week, taken to see professional performing artists, given uniforms, and taught a piece which is performed as part of a show. This method provides children with deep exposure to the arts, creating a lasting impact on their growth and development.

In Motion not only wants to impact children;, we also want to engage their families in what we provide. To this end, we hold our programs in partnership with underserved schools in the New York Area. Typically, a teacher in each school serves as a liaison between In Motion and the families which facilities communication with each child's family. Additionally, we hold a kick-off reception for the families of our participants before the start of each program so that they join in their child¹s participation and success with In Motion. The final show provides an exciting opportunity for participants and the community to come together and celebrate the accomplishment of the children.

Through movement, children are given the opportunity for creative self-expression, allowing them to build vital skills in their physical, mental and emotional development. These skills mold who they are in partnership, leadership and friendship for the rest of their lives.
